Seattle adventures, life, home, and coffee—in no particular order

Pot crazy!

My grand plan is to stock the garden bed full of veggies, and then surround the plot with pots of herbs and, later in the spring, tomatoes!

For now, it’s herb time! I found a neat old, decorative ceramic pot that the former owners had left behind, and claimed it for my herb project. I decided to populate the pot with apple mint, chives, dill, and Italian parsley.

Small herbs, big pot

Next, I moved on to a smaller pot, this one I discovered in the garden shed. I planted organic chives (yes, I’m obsessed) and rosemary here.

Last step: flowers! We found an old wood container behind the shed. Adam wanted to take it to the dump, but I rescued it for a flower box. I planted three varieties of ranunculus in the salvaged planter.
