‘Tis the season

The Christmas tree is patiently waiting for lights and decorations in the living room, the garland is hung with twine on the front fence, and the holiday boxes are brimming with soon-to-be-unpacked decorations in the spare bedroom. The final touches–the things that would really kick this midweek holiday non-party into full gear–would be the smell of sweet treats in the oven, a cup of spiced cider, and some of the wintry white stuff.

There’s no snow in Seattle, so I’m living vicariously through this winter ice skating party from the Sweetest Occasion. It’s the kind of winter shindig a northwest girl could only dream of. Seriously, how perfect is all this?

Coldplay, cue the Christma Lights, we’re ready for the final, final touch:
